Find resources by research task.

Getting started with BioTool

Start with your task

Use Literature & knowledge to find papers, Genes & sequences to look up genes or compare sequences, and Omics data & analysis to find expression data. BioTool organizes resources into 13 categories, with one primary category per resource.

Narrow your search

Search by resource name or terms such as primer, single-cell or protein. Category pages group resources by task. Each card describes its purpose, resource type and access requirements.

Before opening a resource

Desktop software, packages and deployable tools may require a local environment or server. Check official licenses and subscription terms when pricing is unconfirmed.

The initial 88 entries come from a directory compiled on 2026-10-01. This is not a functional test date for each resource. Individual checks remain pending. Competitor directories are not part of the collection.
