Resource inclusion guidelines

Scope

Include research tools, databases, experimental methods and material discovery resources. Exclude news, company updates and general shopping sites. Use one primary category per resource; AI, oncology, immunology, neuroscience, plants and microbiology can be cross-category tags.

Required details

1. Official name and URL without promotional parameters.
2. Category and subcategory based on research purpose and task.
3. A one-sentence description of what the resource does.
4. Resource type: database, online tool, desktop software, package or workflow.
5. Installation, coding or deployment requirements, with unconfirmed pricing marked accordingly.
6. An actual verification date and the scope of that check.

Current inclusion process

Use “Suggest a website” at the bottom of the sidebar (inside the navigation menu on mobile), or in an empty search result. Website details can be entered freely, including URLs without a protocol or plain text, with no field-length limits. No login is needed. Suggestions are private and require maintainer review before publication.
